It was -35 degrees Celsius that February morning, the first rays of the morning came through a window and showed these ice butterflies or ice flowers of the window glass, which was not quite properly closed and I was happy about that :)
Now we have here +30 degrees Celsius, many parts of Europe even more.
I hope this post will make you to feel cooler :)

This orange night was magical at lake. I have tens of photos about it :)
And the gull of the photo was coming every evening nearer and nearer our boat swimming peacefully around.
I called him " Jonathan " after Jonathan Livingston Seagull :)

This photo is taken about 11.00pm in June.

We have the river running through the town and this is the oldest bridge over it.

The building is also one of oldest buildings, built on the island of the river and used as a granary in old times.

I wish I could have a good macro lens in that morning, when I saw these spiderwebs full of raindrops.
But I give now an idea for you. And I can say, that it was nice to see in person :).

I hope that I - and you too - will see those rain pearles also this summer and get a better photo.

This photo is taken from our summer cottage 4 weeks ago. Most of my sunset photos are from the lake
where our summer place is located. I love to be at lake sometimes over midnight, enjoying all the time changing colours on the sky and water. It`s never dark even the sun is about 4 hours a little under the horizon.

Sun rises 3:01 and sets 23:03. Length of day is 20 h 2 min.

Staircase of Odessa, Ukraine / Urban #3

I remembered now these photos, which I took in Odessa during our cruise on the Black Sea two years ago. We were only one day there and of course we went to Potemkin steps.

The site of Odessa was once occupied by an ancient Greek colony. Archaeological artifacts confirm links between the Odessa area and the eastern Mediterranean.
Now the city is a major seaport located on the northwest shore of the Black Sea and the fourth largest city in Ukraine with a population of 1,029,000
In 1905 Odessa was the site of a workers' uprising supported by the crew of the Russian battleship Potemkin (also see Battleship Potemkin uprising) and Lenin's Iskra. Sergei Eisenstein's famous motion picture The Battleship Potemkin commemorated the uprising and included a scene where hundreds of Odessan citizens were murdered on the great stone staircase (now popularly known as the "Potemkin Steps"), in one of the most famous scenes in motion picture history

At the top of the steps, which lead down to the port, stands a statue of the Duc de Richelieu created by Ivan Martos ( Source: Wikipedia )

The goldenrod crab spider or flower (crab) spider ( Misumena vatia )got a huge catch.
It took all day long to eat it.

The bumblebee is empty now and the spider is going to let it go.
